Full Day Kindergarten
Early childhood education at Our Lady of Victory School is provided through our pre-kindergarten (4-year old by 31st December) and kindergarten (5-year old by 31st December) programs and offers high-quality pre-school experiences. The goals of the programs are:
- To encourage children's natural desire to learn which is achieved by employing the five senses in a variety of stimulating and meaningful experiences (e.g. dramatic play, crafts, circle time etc.)
- To enhance socialization skills
Through participation, children are prepared academically, socially and emotionally for their elementary years. In order to ensure that the children maximize their early learning experiences, classes are kept small. The needs of each child are evaluated and met through a daily schedule of constructive activities. The children are in a safe environment that provides the opportunity for group interaction in a non-competitive manner. The programs promote communication and individual expression and introduce socially acceptable ways of dealing with feelings of anger and frustration.
The kindergarten program runs Monday, Wednesday & Friday during the school calendar year. The program runs from 8:40 am to 3:10 pm. We are also accepting applications for our Pre-Kindergarten program. Our Pre-Kindergarten program runs Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 8:40 – 11:55 am. Children from all religious backgrounds are welcome.
