We at Our Lady of Victory School are cognisant of the fact that parent's schedules do not always match academic school-day schedules. Our Before and After School Program (BASP), provides a convenient service for working parents who need a supervised environment for their children before and after school hours. The program is offered Monday through Friday. The before school program is available from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. and the after school program from 3:10 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Our program is affordable and is designed to provide a relaxed, safe and comfortable atmosphere where children feel "at home", before school starts and / or before going home. A wide range of activities is available and each child is able to participate in an informal setting. The BASP fosters constructive activity and children may work individually or in small groups.
Overall, we provide a unique opportunity within an informal learning environment for children of varying ages to meet and learn together. Opportunities abound to assume responsibility, strengthen positive peer and adult relationships, and gain a sense of belonging. Children can expect comfortable surroundings, choices within structured limits, socialization, quiet time space in which to do homework, and enrichment opportunities. Parents can expect a friendly and safe atmosphere for their children, a qualified and dedicated supervisor, and a feeling of support. Our Program supervisors have their Child Care Certificates. The BASP is offered on a regular basis but is also available on an "as-needed basis".
